cool post here if need help or send me a message. I'm fairly good with it so I can help you out. I'm planning on making a GMAX tutorial for making somthing simple like a low LOD gun and how to get it in game as a weapon for this site. like this SMG I made from scratch: SMG.jpg I never found any tutorials for gmax that helped me so I learned by myself |

That's a cool mesh. It'd be cool to replace some vehicles and/or weapons with some more realistic ones from mods like FH or BG42. |

Just to make sure you all know, this won't be server side. Anything involving the changes to mesh files and/or texture files won't be server side for obvious reasons. |

I was referring to replacing lods and meshes like you replace skins, animations, etc. Client side, on any unpure server. Plus, why revive a month old thread for an obvious statement? |

Awesome idea. Pretty simple to accomplish, but having the idea to use the armoreffects for something like this...cool Just one question (didn't try it out yet): Doesn't this only "add" the geometry to the existing mesh, as usually the armor effects also are only added effects, not replacements? So if I put dents etc. in a mesh won't these dents be useless because the original mesh is still visible? Or does it replace int his case because it's also a LOD01 mesh? But will definetly try it out, especially some battle-battered tanks would be an awesome addition. |
