I have been unsuccessful in changing material for vehicles. Objective: Make vehicles with low hitpoints stronger. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you cannot increase hitpoints? Lag not desired. I wish I could increase the hitpoints on the BDRM2 = BMP2 armor. SS, DCFinal Original ObjectTemplate.create PlayerControlObject nx_M-923 ObjectTemplate.explosionRadius 8 ObjectTemplate.explosionDamage 5 ObjectTemplate.material 51 Proposed Changes ObjectTemplate.Active nx_M-923 ObjectTemplate.explosionRadius 15 ObjectTemplate.explosionDamage 10 ObjectTemplate.material 54 ObjectTemplate.Active nx_M-923c ObjectTemplate.explosionRadius 15 ObjectTemplate.explosionDamage 10 ObjectTemplate.material 54 |

Your worst enemie is yourself. If you can't make vehicle stonger, what you do? You make damage on bullets weaker. Exampel; Kill a tank from side=2 rockets. Rocket tweaked down 50%, now you need 4 rockets. Ehum, how the #$%# did the tank get stronger? It didn't, but it feels like it. Step out of the box. |

While that does work the problem would then be that other vehicles are also much more "durable" than before. Sure, your BRDM2 might take 4 rockets to destroy now... but how many will a normal tank take, 6.. 8... 10?!? Is there no way to make the rockets do more or less damage based on the material the object is made of? |

Ok I will post this for the 4th time now.... Edit damage for pistol bullit. Change damage in game.rfa. One material at time. See where it hurts. Now find a suitable material and edit rocket damage for it. Some tanks have material; 50, 51, 52, 53. (BFV PT76 and Sheridan) Some have; (BFV T54, T72 and Patton) 51, 52, 53, 54. If you like rocket to take out Sheridan and PT76 faster. Edit material 50, give rocket some more power. APC uses 45, 46, 47, 48, 49. Jeeps have 39 as tires. Not all vehicles have all material in use. Best way to test all this is to make a custom map, ad all vehicles to this map, make them one team only, this to get a hit indicator when it do damage. Edit game.rfa start map and shoot and see where it hurts. Read about towers on flaming dart how they work, and then you probebly realize that bombs, grenades and bullits have differant materials on same vehicle on same spot! It's a mess, but when you learn it , it's fun as hell to play with. Still today I don't know why the have the line material 50 on a tank? This line pretty much do nothing? Or is it splash related? |
