bots use highest number strategic setting vehicle when faced with a choice
(BOT>HMMM which vehicle kicks more a**?)

adjust the
aiTemplatePlugIn.setStrategicStrength 0 *
aiTemplatePlugIn.setStrategicStrength 1 *

in whatever the vehicles AI/objects.con

aiSettings.setBotSkill 1.0
bf42/game.rfa add to top of the AIBehaviours.con (set your slider all you want it wont work to 100%)

Bot's don't shoot if they can't turn the gun onto target fast enough
adjust in vehicle AI/objects.con
rem *** Angle in radians ***
aiTemplatePlugIn.pitchScale
aiTemplatePlugIn.rollScale
aiTemplatePlugIn.yawScale
for driver primaries or secondaries accordingly

Low degeneration and high heats also help

aiTemplate.degeneration 2

(how long they fire once they lock before checking targeting again)

aiTemplate.allowedTimeDiff 0.0

(why do you want a bot to wait to shoot once he locks onto you?0 acts like a person they see you they attack you right THEN)

aiTemplate.basicTemp 19

(THIS IS THE SETTING THAT CAN GO TO 20)
high heats can lead to singular behavior
(bots not leaving vehicles/weapons on radio command or by tapping their seat # like a nut or by their own choice due to changing strats.)

Each level has ai file with the viewdistance for bots specified (bots wont shoot what they cant see).
Better off using weapon ranges that start at 1(remove 40).

Weapon tweeks misc

weaponTemplate.deviation 8.0
weaponTemplate.deviationCorrectionTime 0.1

most ALL of my weapons are set on burst and indirect 0

Missle tweek

rem mass and drag from rockets and missles in correct mod (=more shootage you really dont want to play with values for months if not weeks do you?)
copy this to your missle racks around velocity
ObjectTemplate.addRootSpeed 0

However, would you please specify perhaps in further detail what some of these setting do exactly such as where you put in the asterisk * ?

For example,

adjust the
aiTemplatePlugIn.setStrategicStrength 0 * <--Is it better set to 1 ?
aiTemplatePlugIn.setStrategicStrength 1 *

Very Interesting Post Going Here

Ive found i was mistaken about the WeaponTemplate and AiTemplate things i was thinking about something else. Anywho, Ive managed to use this post to make some very nice bots. Tanks Fight Tanks, Infantry Fights Infantry (Mainly With Automatic Weapons) AirPlanes Dogfight in teams of two <----Kind Like Wingmen. And Jeeps and Halftracks hold no real strategic importance to the bots. Leaving those vehicles for me to use :D

Next ima work on the Aggression, setting the number of attacks and defenses and the Strategic importance of different soldier positions (crouch, prone, standing) etc. Hopefully get the Bots to run a bit more.

Ahh freddy...I think that would be if the spawner was attached to the vehicle, like a sub..

I haven't replied to this because im not good with bots either lol. :(
