depends on what weapon u change the projectile template dunno what tanks drive around in bf1942 aberdeen, i think its british one ... and german so that would be sherman and panzer iv, using browning and mg42 ... hmmm , brainfart if u spawn a pco and want to return u have to use pos 1 (pco0) so u would have to use the coaxial mg mounted inside turret , then there is no need for creating template, just add this ObjectTemplate.active Coaxial_MG42 ObjectTemplate.projectileTemplate bf109 ObjectTemplate.projectilePosition 0/400/0 ObjectTemplate.projectilerotation 50/-135/0 ObjectTemplate.active BF109BombRack ObjectTemplate.projectilePosition 0/-2/0 for the panzer IV to spawn an bf109 400 meters above tank ( allow for speed to build up, while losing height after spawn) i tweaked the bomb a little to avoid being blown up when firing the tanks coaxial, since the bomb has radius of 20 and it will be released also at the same time. |

This is SS, i just tested it, works like a champ. panzer iv driver position , right click spawns a plane above tank with player in it plane crashes - return to tank driver position bombed own tank, player died ... what doesnt work ? |

Yes you are right, works and is ssm... But it seems to be pretty buggy which sucks. Problems I'm looking at: 1) Server crash when switching positions 2) If someone else enters "parent vehicle" you will die when the "daughter vehicle" explodes 3) Seems to crash the server neway after a period of time! |

beats me, i had this setup on a fletcher , instead of the tomahawk it would spawn a suped up F117A, never had any probs ... u got anything else in that map modded ss ? which might cause conflict ? i had some lets say unclean modding code and it would crash the server , since 2 items would refer to the same projectile back in objects definition or stuff like that, but ... just the plane out of the altfire gun (1st pco) didnt cause any probs now if u try to do this on the MG42 posiition ur out of luck, cuz then the game will confuse PCOs and crash., since the engine doesnt support this. dc team tried that on the F14-A, running into the same prob. |
