Sam's explanation far exceeds the information I provided. I think it will really help those who have had problems.

This is a good weapon/vehicle to start with when it comes learning how to code.

First of. Awsome and Thanks.

Now I have a couple of questions pretaining to cutom map (not a complete mod).

1). How do invert the heat bar? I have tired putting this line of code every where I can think of, but no inverse heat bar. I want this so that I can give the jetpack limited "fuel".

ObjectTemplate.InverseHeatBar 1

2). How do I replace it the BF heat bar with the DC heat bar? I have been able to edit the health bars and make them look like DC and have noticed that it uses the DC empty heat bar by default, but the heat bar full is still Rocketpackbar_full_32x64 which has not been overridden in DC/DCF. I have made the texture, but I cannot get it to overide the BF one. I have verifed that this is indeed the texture by making a custom mene.rfa for BF, which made the it use the right texture, but unless every one downlaods the new menu.rfa, they will use the old heatbar. any ideas?

So as noone had these files I ended up finding Superfuzz's Battle of fire map and extracting what I needed from there. Thanx Superfuzz for that.
I got this to work on DesertCombat first then went to DC_Final and it worked. I uploaded the Objects.rfa and standardMesh.rfa on the server and went to load up with my regular BF1942.exe (not my modded folder I keep that seperate) and it crashed. My buddy did the same and he crashed too. Then I loaded up my modded folder bf1942.exe and since I had all the stuff in my menu and textured files it worked great. How is this a serverside mod? If the client has the files it would work but you cant go around asking player's to mod their menu, object, standardMesh and texture .rfa files. If it would at least not show jet pack and work anyway that would be semi acceptable, but not the client crashing to desktop. Any thoughts?
Can you do this map on a per map basis serverside?

P.S. If anyone needs the files I am willing to send them mailto:mrb2u@insightbb.com or would it be better to list them
in the downloads section.

Bringing this thread back to life as I am new here and would like jet packs in DC.. ;-)

Followed the instructions and extracted the jet pack from objects.rfa to a folder called jetpack
The instructions say I should get a folder called bfmp_sw_jetpack, i do not get this nor get a file called ingame.
I get 2 folders called AI amd sound and the following con files Geometries, Network, Objects, physics.

What did I do wrong?
