Hi, i was wondering how i'd make tanks go on a certain track. Like singleplayer but there but the tank will only go in 1 direction, as its programmed. Or just have a long row of tanks which fire in a certain direction.

It would be cool to make a video or somthing.

Is it possible to spawn soldiers then make them walk forward and backward?

Its quite funny to watch but they go a bit fast. I guess i could slow them down but what would be quite cool is it to be able for it to be able to keep firing. Is there a code which makes it fire. Like ObjectTemplate.speedmod 1.....

just read your code XD the floaters arn't needed unless you wish for them to go over water, but other than that it should work, your idea of the tanks auto fireing isnt impossiblle just hard to do ill look more indepth into it

Edit:
Yh slow them down they look unrealistic that fast XD

In this Thread there is a huge Coded section, i belive its a mod for a DC map but with the right changes you could make it work for the Tank

Aparently it only auto-fires if you or someone else gets into it and on for a few seconds if you put some time into changing the code in the nesecary place post it ill take it and have a look see what i can do, they do say "you don't get somthing for nothing" and also you wont learn anything if you dont do it for yourself. ill workon it tomorrow night when im free, hope we can get this working as id like to see it in action =] could be cool.

been done im sure, if you search you could find it but i do not think they used floats, i can't remember.

auto tanks are cool but i think nhm would agree bombers dropping tanks that parachute is better! check you mail mate

Ok worked on it for a couple of hours and Auto fire tanks are hard without an AI or Non-Ai player actervating it.
But im sure you can finish of the auto drive tanks shouldnt be hard all you really need to do is slow them down a little to a more realistic speed.

I'm looking into waterwalking ;-]
