Nope. RFA Explorer was my "first choice" for quite some time too, as its interface is really great. Then it started fucking up after one update of NET, true.
Nowadays I still use RFAE as it still has some goodies involved, especiall the enhanced preview functions over winRFA. I use RFAE for searching and scanning rfa files without the need to unpack them in the first place. Very good if you want to scan textures of the "big mods" like FH/BG. Their .rfa are huge. I also use it to scan/search pretty much anything because the tree-folder-structure allows easily to reach the desired subfolder. Especially helpful for stuffed files like objects.rfa.
The actual extracting or packing is done by WinRFA or - if I need to unpack or pack the "final" files, I use makeRFA console commands, as they are the only "RFA tool" that works 100%. Even WinRFA screws .rfas up, especially environment maps in map files.
Editing itself always happens manually. For textfiles it's usually , if I need to compare or edit two files simultaneously (e.g. for vehicle code checkups/alterations/whatever), I prefer which excells in this discipline. And also is Open Source.
