alright. i'm screwing my 2012 mod. yes already. because of my horrible attention span and boredom I'm going to convert a map from DCF or maybe vanilla 42 for an objective game based it off a halo 3 game type. it's an objective map where there's a single bomb in the middle of the map and each team has to defend their 'base' from the bomb. the goal is to pick up and carry the bomb to the enemy's bomb 'base' and detonate the bomb. 3 detonations destroy target and your team wins. the 'base' that you have to blow up can only be hurt by the bombs material and is only a small cylinder base on the ground so you have to detonate the bomb directly over the base because of the small blast radius.

sorry if that's all hella confusing, feel free to ask questions about it. I'm not sure if this idea is possible due to ticket bleed settings and so I would love if anyone would at least tell me that this is possible. I'm assuming it is so i'm working on the bomb model and stuff now. hopefully someone with bc can help me place the bomb/bases and help insert the objective game mode stuff. feel free to criticize and please offer idea's of which map (preferably a symmetrical map) would suit this game type best.

yes should be possible. create 2 objects that only the bomb can destroy and tie the teams soldierspawns to each.

This would be fun, and its quite simple too. You make two indestructable command posts that can only be destroyed by a special weapon within a special kit, and then on a really small map the two sides fight it out over that kit and attempt to blow up each others command posts, eventually leading to no spawn points, and instant win. Good idea!

Thanks Archi! I was thinking that the bomb kit would have no other weapons in it other then the bomb itself. we will see about that though when I do testing because it might make it two hard. but it would enforce teamwork. and yeah I can basically rip the code from the DC weapon bunkers map.

Giving a kit only one weapon for some reason can cause issues when bots use them. If you give the kit another weapon slot with whatever dummy weapon you want it to yield (give it a couple of stones to throw...for self-defence :D ) things should be fine. You then still could just make sure the bots never use the weapon by setting their AI priorities right...
