Battlefield 1942 How are textures linked to their objects? Like "landmine_T.dds" is the texture for landmines. edit:found it. It was the in the standardmesh.rs for the object. |

The actual "linking" of the texture to the sm happens in 3dsmax but if you wanted to change what the mine looks like just use photoshop to open the texture up and paint over it. |

Yes there's something called uv mapping that's done in Max that determines how the texture fits on the object, but in my experience you usually don't need to worry about that. (Except when creating new meshes of course) |
