Couldn't you just reduce firing force? Does that affect the range the projectile reaches? I don't think so, isn't that controlled by Velocity? |

im not sure theres 3 things that factor recoil i believe recoil size speed and firing force firing forece is the only one i understnad |

im pretty sure the M1 abrams in desert combat does that....recoil into the tank that is. |

fireing force is only for the recoil, doesn't affect anything else. If you reduce that, you reduce recoil, but also the "shock effect". If you have good suspension (pysics.con) and high fireing force, you will notice a heavy setback as well as no bouncing. Simulates the power of the main cannon much better in my opinion. |

Uhm, that's what I've been saying from the beginning  It's not that I'm talking out of the blue here, I know this stuff from experience. Went through all these settings in my mod, making the tanks way more realistic in shooting behaviour.Recoil Speed+Force only affect the visual moving of the barrel. Force indicates how far the barrel will go backwards upon firing, "speed" is the time it then needs to be moved forward again. FireingForce is the real physical recoil effect, launched from the point the projectile is generated (usually at the muzzle) in the opposite projectile direction. |
