hey, I'm back again with more sound problems. In a new mod I'm working on I'm going to have a radio in a map that sits there and plays music. I already have the thing ingame (it's a little wooden retro radio, it's real fun) but I cant make it produce sound I've tried alot of different sound 'codes' but none seem to produce the .wav music file. where should I start with a sound like this? |

Its most likely not your .ssc, instead check your sound. If it is not saved in the proper codec the game will not play the sound. |

Yes, but windows media player isnt the BF1942 sound engine. BF1942 takes a specific codec to play. Get a free program called Gold Wave, and open a vanilla file to find the codec, then save your new sound with the codec. |

You also can try to run the debugger with your map. If a soundfile is called correctly in the ssc but has a wrong codec/format, the debugger usually gives an error/warning message. No guarantee though....better do what archimonde already stated Or post your ssc here. |
