I want to take bf2's feature: spotting out enemies and making the enemy appear on all of your teammate's minimap into bf1942, on left click using the binoculars would trigger the appearance of the enemy's icon on all player's minimaps. Is this possible?

Tried it, BF1942 is old and sucks balls. So no, won't happen.

If only destroyer radar picked up soldiers....shame. You can do artillery though. Binoculars are fun.

there might be a way with using the sticky command with a projectile like stick a tank on his head.
but it would crash the game becuase sticky doesn't work right.

haha, yea that's right. Stick something thats a vehicle unto something else. That would make a grey icon appear.

Until the enemy you stuck it on dies that is and its "wreck" dissapears. :?

you would add destroyable object template to every soldier... then give the binos (or whatever) a projectile weapon.. this would be invisible and silent but when you point and shoot at a soldier you fire this invisible projectile but have a deathbubble attached to it. When this passes in fairly close proximity to the soldier it would 'kill' the attached detroyable object on that soldier.. (none of this would be seen, heard or noticed by the soldier being 'marked'. What happens next is cool.. you have an armour effect attached to thet destroyable object on the soldier.. and when it reaches say '10 HPS' the effect is triggered.. this effect can do just about anything.. it could spwan an invisible vehicle (as above) which is attached to the soldier template. client side, you could add a custom 'yellow' arrow for this vehicle type and then that player would show on the map as a yellow arrow for all to see. in addition you attach a death bubble to this vehicle to kill itself after say 10 seconds...

I have made something similar to this for a different purpose and so it does work using armour effects to 'trigger events'

This would give a pretty good mark target system.
