Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

OK so i was given a working rfa to add a few things to. When i tried to open it with rfa explorer it would load but not let me do anything with the files. so i used winrfa and modded it. Tested it on my server, and on my home PC. Sent it to the guy and it keeps reverting to vanilla when he tries to load it. He uses a windows based server and i use linux. So i have thought of everything i know of and it still will not load. I know the rfa worked when i got it and it worked on my server and pc when i sent it back. on his server it does not work. Any idea's?

Make sure its name is lower case...

Make sure the name is above any other mod he has on the server.

It sounds like mapfile_003 vs mapfile_009 Make sure to have the number higher than what he has on the server now. He may not know he has another mod file.

tried name lower case and upper case and its the higher designated mod.

the wierd thing is I have a server with game servers, it runs on my server. but not on his.. so i think it has something to do with an earlier mod to the map. now our ftp is all fubar so cant try anything right now. thanks for offering tho

set the rfa to _999 maybe? cant think of anything else to try

figured i would post what was happening. When i would e-mail the file to the server admin that i made it for. Hotmail would wipe out all the info on the file. Windows would show it as having a size of 42k but once you opened it, it had nothing. We fought three days and even brought iced earth into the mix to find the problem and thats all it was.... grrrr. death to hotmail.
