The panztrails already have the "OT.looping 1" already, obviously....

TimeToLive is already set to unlimited (CRD_None/-1) as I stated in the first post, changes here don't help either, I'm afraid.

Does the effect continue further than the LOD distance defined in Terrain.con? You mentioned you updated the ObjectTemplate.lodDistance. I'm assuming you mean the LOD distance defined in the effect's emitter. Also, could you provide clarification on how you
"increased LOD distances for soldiers, so no "face-downgrade" after only 3 meters...". I'm guessing you upped the "ObjectTemplate.setLodValue" on the soldiercomplexhead. Could you provide an example? Thanks!

Note: This is the best smoke effect i could find. It's from FH Operation Big Week. The smoke rises really high before dissipating

You really cant see the smoke or fire until you get fairly close to it. I'd love to be able to modify the code to see if from a farther distance. Horizontally & Vertically.

That's the problem I have too, and I'm still not close to an answer.

Theoretically, the ObjectTemplate.loddistance of the emitter controls how far out you will be able to see the effect, but raising that didn't work for the panzshoottrail. Should work for your static effect, though.

I'm not sure if the panzshoottrail effect is culled out or "expires". good test object is the katyusha: If you fire high while driving forward (yeah well, I made my katy one-seated to raise combat value to a proper value), you can see that your first rocket trail (which also is a panztrail effect) stops earlier than the second one, though you have closed in already, as you are driving forward. IS there a time limit hidden somewhere?

@Freddy: Uhm, the unlimited TimeToLive wasn't my idea, that's the vanilla code. And why shouldn't this be working It's not like they contradict each other...
Also the looping 1 is already there. Setting a fixed TTL doesn't do any good either, as expected.
