Hi guys. I ran into a weird bug with the medic class, its shows when you pick up the other teams medic kit after a soldier died. The sound from the mg just starts to loop after pressing the trigger once, it stops if changing weapon but you cant here the pistol if its fired.

First i thought some mod had gone kaputt, but its the same unmodded and in different maps. I wonder if anyone encountered this before.

I've encountered this problem with all automatic handweapons at one time or another. It's just a weird glitch. Only happens once in a while, like where I gave Japs the Stg44, or if a Russian has a Thompson. It's very rare too, hasn't happened in a long time.

Yeah thats happened to me/others a lot as well. Just a funny bug. If I'm playing with a smart clan member I can just say in game "hey x, sound glitch" and they'll switch to something then switch back to fix it.

Just a pain in the butt lol

well fook me, i spent about 3 hours trying fixing first, thinking i had fokked up when i modded...

if i host a game on my computer it doesnt appear to me, but to every one else thats join its the same crap.

i think i just fix so one cant pick up the medic kit at all wehn dropped

edit: this must be something network related

It's a mixture of a network traffic problem as well as a problem caused by how the MP sound is setup. You would have to dive in the .ssc a bit to eliminate this. Had it fixed some ancient day, but I can't remember what the cause was exactly....

Cool. Looks like I won't have to do the annoying job of copying over script files for new engines and such that I create.

EDIT: lol Nope, it doesn't work when I try to use it to load other vehicle's sound scripts
