so i'm making A remake of guardian from Halo 3. ( I have some pictures at the bottom.) and I would like to make a gravity lift. basically it shoots you into the air in a certain direction when you walk over it. I was thinking of making it basically something that is in a constant blast or constantly blowing up and make a custom material for it and make it not effect soldiers. I could make custom effects for it and textures/.sm's. any ideas? basically i'm stumped on how to make a gravity lift. also speed mod 0 on soldiers.

as you can see I haven't made a texture for it yet. and I only have made the sniper tower so far. click to enlarge.

try and make it emit a constant explosion which has a blast force...I mean thats the best I can think of. Unless you animate an invisible moving platform, much like the radar stations rotating radar.

i'll look through the effects and see what I can do and make a few test effects. worst case its a vehicle that mkaes you exit as soon as you enter and it has an explosion on exit that sends you in the proper direction?

edit: is it even possible to set the material that the code ObjectTemplate.destroyonexit 1 uses so that it doesn't hurt players?

You could try to put a engine shooting towards the direction were you would want to jump, i just dont know if the engine would push you like i think it does

thanks for the idea but engines don't work like that. they have to be attached to a vehicle.

oh well ill think of something eventually wat about if you used C4 packs there but no damage? i think someone else said it
