Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

So...with the trouble I had with my B17 lately, I figured I would load up my old map, Battle of Anisiti, and work on making a v2.0 of it. Battlecraft....crashes. Ok, I'll just load it with Ed42....crashes.

Its not my week! Can anyone open the map in my sig (battle of anisiti) in battlecraft?!?

I'm guessing your ed42 version crashes because you are using a full init?

best to just use a basic init...

make a new ed42 map the same size as your map..

then just copy over the conquest folder, materialmap, heightmap, staticobjects and the textures folder.
make sure you edit the sun direction and water height in the ed42 init.

and voila.

Ahh don't worry, I'm a noob. It still crashes in BC, but not ed. I switched over to another computer two weeks ago, so i had to install ed42 for the first time on it. When I extracted the maps...I forgot they went bf1942\levels\mapname, so I was getting errors.

I still like BC better for editing terrain...I wish that worked.

Anyone know why this wouldn't load in BC?
