In bf1942, is it possible to make an underground tunnel on flat ground?? or maybe an underwater tunnel?

No, only supported in later versions of BFV.

ok, thanks, but does bf1942 have a way to build an aboveground tunnel, so its not under ground, but just along the ground, for fun....or do i have to be creative and make it from all sorts of stuff?

If your going to be creative, you will not be able to move much on map.
Seen one guy here trying to do it, helped him with ladders that was turned 180 degree wrong.
I could hardly move on that map.

Make a new object will work.
An overground tunnel that give an underground feeling.
Lower ground under tunnel, this will do it.

its too bad Battlefields maps are modeled using Hieghtmaps...if they were all geometry we would see alot of underground tunnels :O

If you are good with a 3d Editing Program and want to model a small map with a few underground sewers and what not...that would work.

i've seen a tunnel made out of a lot of bridges put togeather, but it wasn't underground, it was on a road

Well, i helped Iced Earth do it, as Urglub said above, but all we did was lower the ground in one spot and put a bunch of sidewalks above it lol. I never lagged on it, but apparently Urglub did so i guess its not that good of an idea. All you would have to do though is make one huge object via 3ds max and put one or two of them down. I no longer have the map but i know Iced Earth posted it on here somewhere if you wanna check it out and see what i mean.
