Battlefield Modding Tutorials BFMODS

Hey, not really a SSM question, but I’m hoping one of you guys can help, or at least point me in the right direction. I’m making my own map, and am in need of customizing some buildings, as well as making my own if possible.

An example for modifications to a couple of buildings already in the game would be to remove a square section of floor on the bottom level of a couple two-story houses (the long rectangular ones; sorry I am at work and don’t have access to their names). The purpose of this is to have a ladder access to a underground tunnel.

If anyone has experience with this aspect of modding and could help, or at least point me in the right direction, I would be grateful. Thanks for any assistance!

edit the model in 3ds or gmax, collision and lod, rename the model. thats the only way i can think of.

thanks bud; im downloading a 30 day demo of 3dsmax9...I'll give it a try.

This should actually make this map a whole lot easier to edit; I wanted to have a ceiling/floor section that would be for a underground warehouse, and making my own large piece would be easier than using those damn sidewalk sections...haha.

Okay...actually if anyone could direct me to any links to GET started modding meshes and 3ds stuff..that would be great...because I am quite lost at the moment, haha. I'm new to the 3-D modding.
