messing with files I know nothing about.

To be honest I have never seen such code aswell, but can't you try it with making a local game?

To be honest, I have no idea how to do that. I test all the mods I do on my normal server
during the day when no one is in. And I really hate having to undo something because it
didn't work. I don't have the patience I used to have.

Try this :

In this case you just make a local game with one installation
and you join that game with another installation, both on your own computer.

I can't believe I missed that tut. I've read most of them, even ones that don't apply to
BF 1942.

I didn't know about that either... although we have the TKO2 server which we test our serverside mods on.
