Yes I have done that. A lot...
Controls are very bad on them.
There is a reason why you have to put a lot of time in there to learn them, they have a few big flaws.
You have to use throttle to turn and this is basicly the big differance helos have in DC and Vietnam (bf2).
This makes Four helo engine far superior three plane engines in a chopper.
Problem with engines in DC choppers are they all use same throttle,
BFV have a separate throttle for each engine.
The rest is just settings.
And having access to more settings are usually never a bad thing.
Tweaking all settings correct can be a problem though.

YES DICE messed choppers up badly in BF2!
To much airflow effect on them.
DICE messed up BF2 very badly, hate it with passion.
--->Don't blame it on chopper engine though, it's just a setting.<---
Note the differance here, DICE tweak of chopper bad, engine good!

When you played with both engines for a while, you don't like DC helos anymore.

Seems like you have less then non experiance with BFV helo engines.
So how can you even compare?

I liked DC's chopper physics way more than BFV/BF2's.

It's just more fun to fly because of the control you have..... even if it technically is possible to fly the SeaKing upside down around Sea Rigs. Okay, not the most realistic.... but certainly fun and powerful.

I agree BF2 choppers Takes lots of skill and team work or out of know where ur dead from another chopper. Also you can stop when you want to i like to hold the A or D keys and spin around like an idiot but its hard to get out of

Ill say this,

3 engines where used for the choppers in dc because thats the only way to move a 3d object in that 3D engine like a chopper ...

The flight physics were never close to reality, they were set for gameplay.

BF2 took in a reality feature called airstream , what is basically what happens in reality.

As Airspeed increases the chopper will not easily be turned by the tailrotor anymore, which is actually appreciated by real pilots, cause it makes the vehicle stable.
