There's nothing wrong with that sentence I'll write it out "...in the United States and the United Kingdom..." "... in United States and United Kingdom..." It seems to be better with "the". Also, I don't think theres anything wrong with "...and he even has..." |

It is commonly written "The United States" and "The United Kingdom". However, this is not true for America or Britain (or France, Russia, Germany, etc.) The exception is Ukraine.
