Its the m79 from the interstate mod and a nice skeleton model i found.. I removed a few limbs and joined them up

I'm reasonably good with the code as its inevitable after a few years bf modding but maps and objects is really what I do.

Which is why this site fills all the gaps for me. It's great.

so if i ever have trouble with 3d moddeling
then i know know where to look

Thanks, Do ask.. I can probably help and I will no doubt be asking more questions here as more strange ideas emerge. I have mainly modded for the interstate mod.. although my maps now are containing a majority of custom stuff which means they are not dependent on interstate for core files.. so a quick conversion for bf will be easy..

I wrote a pretty long reply there before loosing it all by clicking a link. so before I put my head through the screen in anger, I will go to bed and forget about it..

Here is a favorite page of tutorials I have used although not especially for beginners.. but certainly containing many techniques that are very useful and will help a huge amount with any 3d work.. including bf42. they are fun to do and will teach you a great deal. Caustic ray tracing is NOT going to help with bf42.. but using lathe tools to make the glass in the caustics tutorial will help for techniques.. It is not so much the end result but the process which will benefit you most in these tut's and they are well written mostly. See how you get on and scream if stuck.



I will make a simple tutorial based on my experiences and post it when done.

csm section would be good. lets face it.. the bf42 communitiy will only get smaller over time so we will all end up in one big bf42 site eventually.. its inevitable. make this the most appealing spot to do it for everyone.

Shame I hate that.. when you put a down a nice post only to have it gone in a flash ...
