Good texturing with BC42 is close to impossible or at least very time-consuming.

If you want to have it looking good, I strongly suggest learning to use Ed42. It is far quicker than BC42 and allows easily for a far higher graphics quality.

But BC42 is fine for a first map, of course . And maps always can be retextured afterwards, no biggie there.

@bigunit: I was in S-Opz, but they're confusing me with the back and forth between COD4 and BFV, so I'm not officially in it.

well they are now officaly in both cod4 and BFV cause they now have a server for COD4

I personally use BC:vietnam to make my maps (terrain(not texture of terrain), vehicles, static objects, etc.) but I would like to learn how to texture with ED42 so I can have sweet textures in my new map.
