Have you tested it server side? And have you noticed any changes in the camera position? Because when I tried armor effects in the "enemy team on your minimap" thread I noticed a difference when going 3th person in a vehicle..

SSM - doesn't seems to work (crashes) - also by using spawners

CSM - i think it only works on singleplayer(multiplayer crashes)

the crash is almost always the same - connection problems after pushing 'e' near a soldier and after a while the server shuts down

any ideas to fix it?

@twist: u mean the vehicle which u add to the soldier or do u mean global? i only tried mortars(incl. a new invisible mortar) and i can only use 1 view, but yes its a little bit different i think

Edit: i tried it with a huey an now i know what u mean twist its an other camera position(a little bit down)

Yes, it should look like the camera wants you to see the mortar aswell. I added my mortar 100 metres above my head. When I entered a jeep and got in 3th person it was like I was in a AC-47. The camera was really far away. When I did it SSM the mortar wasn't showing. I still had a few strange side effects - I could walk into vehicles. CSM it worked perfectly in a network game. But I wasn't going for entering my mortar. I just wanted to follow me around the map.

but it was possible to enter the vehicle without a crash on a multiplayergame?

I didn't try that... I'd guess it would crash.
