oi a while ago i did some trying to get a child pco take damage from explosions etc. the idea was to addtemplate another vehicle with hit points to the pco and this seemed to work as i was able to damage the pco to "halfbar"

ssm
positive: you cant see the added vehicle

negative: you cant see when the added vehicle is destroyed, meaning if its gone you can bomb forever and nothing more happens.

very negative: you can get in the pco and use it as normal, but if you get the idea of pressing the 2 button the server crashes.

i dont know if its possible to block getting into the added vehicle, i think i tried some with remming out the network info from it.

the pco i tried with was the KatyushaRocket thingy and the vehicle addtemplated was a aa gun, i think one could just addtemplate more aa guns for more damage on the pco or try with some other vehicle , but i stopped trying when i couldnt solve the crash problem.

so if anybody has some fresh ideas how to block the aa/vehicle enter function i´m all ears ;)

is this Server Side?

I get data differs...

got the other server to load up the map with this code, but mortar disappears...

Ok got it to work on single player. Must be something to do with my objects.rfa on the servers that stops it from working properly.

ok i got it to work for a time just nicely now data differs again. So Im trying to see which file changed.

freddy, what about this?

ObjectTemplate.Active VEHICLE NAME
ObjectTemplate.addArmorEffect 0 big object 0/0/0

so that when the vehicle reaches zero HP, a big object comes right around it. you could add a death bubble too.

dont think it helps on destroying the pco tho :?

i think i will give this another go and document it better, was so long ago i tried now so im not totally sure if the server crashed or only the client got disconnected.

So the soldier has life. Dont you pretty much accomplish the same thing if you can kill the soldier inside the PCO as though you destroyed the PCO?
