Type "dds converter" and press enter. You can also test "dds plugin photoshop". |

Heres the easyiest way to get a different look in your map 1. First with your map extracted you need to make another folder in the main map folder and name it "customtextures"..without the "" 2. now put the textures you want to change in the customtextures folder 3. now open photoshop or what ever program you use to paint with 4. now go to the customtextures folder and select the .dds files to be painted 5. now paint away and when done do a "save as" and select the origional .dds file of the picture and save it.. 6. now in the main map folder in the init.con file you need to add a line to get the textures to show up..this is what it will look like when you get done 7. textureManager.alternativePath Texture/Europe 8. textureManager.alternativePath ../../bf1942/levels/map name here/customtextures 9. now pack up you map and se if your new textures are showing.. i dont really get this. number 1 how do i make a new folder? and 2. how do i find the textures? i just dont get number 6. can somebody help me to udnerstand this? |

when i try to convert into dds it always fails? this is confusing but i wont stop till i figure it out |
