Wow! I'm in a good shape :razz:
Concerning the geometry thingie, i found it changed helis behaviour but i think it changes the way to kill an attack huey wich has a transport huey mesh...
Let's take a UH1Assault with a UH1Transport mesh (ssm)
I tried it in LAN environment test (that must be the same as internet)
I fly it...ok it reacts as a transport...so if this mod lines tell the game it has a UH1Transport mesh, i should be able to shoot through the doors and see no impacts (you follow me?)
But i saw those impacts...with no effects on Huey health
ve_huey_fus_m1 is the main meshes file we can see in 3dsmax and is made of 3 meshes
Lod, Col01, and col02...
Lod just "wear" the textures and can be eliminated from this idea... but col01 and col02...? i need to refresh my memory...
One of it is for environement interaction and one is for damage...I need to test some stuff!
I and maybe whom is interesting will try to tell more about it :razz:

Lod = graphic
Col = hitbox

If you have a empty hulk with texture on and ad a collision mesh from something else, your bound to get into problem.

And changing those settings on choppers may couse problem, due to clients and server argue who's right and wrong about physics.

It's a thin line here. What you can do and what you can't to make game better.

That's why i just have a doubt
No doubt between "col" and "lod"
But col01 and col02...they have different roles
For now i see no problems except: if you shoot at a part of the vehicle where there's no colision mesh you could get frustated...
But...as i said, it mainly works on similar meshes like Hueytransport and Hueyassault
Shooting on the flank at a Hueyassault wich has a Hueytransport mesh will result on a big boom you'll see on your screen, but no damage cause the missile went through the collision mesh server side (as Hueytransport door is open).

PS: Urglub i went on your server tonite and it was a blast :)
Some bots are more clever than some humans :p

It's differant material for differnant projectiles.
