Post subject:  texturing for a custom map?

im planning on making a map soon, un-modded, except for some texturing, and mkaing custom kits, like putting different weapons in different kits.

how would i do this?

i just thought id ask, since i dont know if the second one is possible, before i go making a whole new map for the mods.

i see stuff for swaping kits in the tuts, but not for switching the weapons inside the kits.

and i see nothin for texturing (like making a phantom look a helluvalot sweeter, chrome finish, blue flames on the sides, that kinda stuff)

all i want to know is this: how do i texture vehicles in a custom map?
