Or there is something very right with me.
Check your framerate in both choppers.
Slick/Mi8Cargo usually gives you better framerate=Feels better to fly.
Probebly becouse of weapons mounted on Huey and Mi8.
Manovering choppers depend on framerate also.
Every gameframe you send a command to server,
if you don't have enough frames you send less commands.
But when you got that fixed you don't feel any differance.
Felt like you guys before, now I have about 150-300 fps per sec, no differance what so ever.

Hmm...sorry Urglub but i pilot a lot hueys and Mi8 for years and my FPS are ok :)
Now this is real mistery...all the object and physic files are the same for UH1(transport/attack) and mi8(cargo/attack)!
I experienced that with the AA batteries on the Bf42 Enterprise wich are spawned in 4 places on the ship and the last one is ok...(talking about texture or camera or whatever now)
first 3 AA's don't have the right thing for aiming :shock: and that's in an official patch!
AA's have their own folder so the enterprise just call them for a spawn on him and...no! they look different when you take a seat! (only the 4th has the right thing; internal cockpit) 3 first look like there's no internal cockpit so you see the AA's mesh you just took a seat in...resulst is, when you fire, you'll see the flak totaly NOT where you aimed...
Now this one is even weirder than the heli physic, cause maybe helis are hardcoded like napalm is and all Bf improvements in BfV engine?

Zaitsef's comment was not stupid for someone who's never seen the BfV files :) True that inertia thingie can change controls
But as i said and Urglub shown a lil upper in that topic:"All files are strictly the same" btw inertia is set to 1/1/1 for all helis in BfV... :?

Description: Inertia is basically an object's "desire" to maintain its current speed. It will affect acceleration and decelleration, and is more important for vehicles like carriers than for planes (though this also has to do with the Mass). It affects the rate of change of turning the object on each axis. 0/0/0 makes the object move freely in all directions with no inertia. 1/1/1 makes the object continue to move in its current direction, so modifying the control.

When you read this you think Tango will have this line, nope, it hasn't.

Changed it from
ObjectTemplate.inertiaModifier 0.85/0.833/0.84
to
ObjectTemplate.inertiaModifier 0.5/0.5/0.5
on a plane.

Worked a bit like
ObjectTemplate.AirFlowAffect
but not at all. :shock:

When you get full speed it turns left when you turn right?

With values
ObjectTemplate.inertiaModifier 2.5/2.5/2.5
It feels like a BF2 plane, the faster you go, the more you can turn.

I think you'll find the answer is simple.

The gunship is slightly bigger and bulkier, and the physics engine takes that into account. It's got rocket pods, grenade launcher, miniguns, and doors. The slick has none of those, so it has much less mass (not objecttemplate.mass).

I first noticed this effect when I built the BM21-SCUD truck for one of TKO's maps. The truck handled totally different than a BM-21, even though the engine was mainly the same. It was due to the gigantic missile on top. Size does matter.

*EDIT*Ok this was a joke but now...i had a look to OH-6 and i believe Losnar about the heli's mesh size!
OH-6 has almost same physics' values than any heli :shock:
We all know the OH-6 flies a bit different than the MI8 :?
