The most one shots on the chinook are those that kill pilot and not the chinook.

A life bubble or healing of pilot i thought may minimize this. I look for adding second bubble...

Read above, one shot one kill you can't prevent with healthboxes.

Minimizing them you do by making radius on rockets smaller and splash damage less against material 40, 41 and 42..

Ok wont reducing the radius also impact the hitbox on hueys shooting other hueys?

Im not convinced yet that a souped up medicbox wont prevent the death of the pilot since I am having difficulty getting the box to work on the cockpit or entire chinook. It works great on the back part of the helo where passengers sit but not for pilot or gunner.

I know you refuse to lose but hey, come on.
If you stand next to a healthbox with 100% health and get shot in head with a SVD, you die!
Deader then that you can't get.
It take a few ms for it to give health back and you already lost them all.
What happens after your dead doesn't matter for you, becouse your already dead.
In other words, if your dead you can't get health in BFV. <--- Period.
Only works in BF2, there's no criticle damage on soldiers in BFV.... Yet.

I guess I was trying to link this with the health healing code on the chinook.

That thing can get shot and die, not quite explode and on its way down heal up again. Pretty funny.

The difference i guess is its not dead, where as the soldier is dead.

A way out there thought would be a life bubble for heuy rockets on the front of the chinook. Rather than catch the vehicle, in a hulk, it catches the rocket.

It looks like the Chinook model has a separate poly for the cockpit from the rest of the helo, since the healing only heals the passenger compartment and not the pilot or copilot.

Would it be possible to change the material characteristics of the glass/front of the cockpit so that a rocket could not penetrate to kill the pilot with a one shot?

It never penetrates.
