BF2 is more complicated. I havn't checked the M24, but last I knew modifying the scope in anyway will require 3ds Max and a knowledge of the BF2 Exporter. Its not like in 1942 where it just uses textures, it uses a 3d representation as well, and thus must be modeled.

the actual Crosshair texture can be found in client objects.zip

weapons/cpmmon/textures/scopetexture

hence, the crosshairs in that scope are really 3D, not just painted.

The only way to fix this , would be to re-import the Model into 3dsMax with Rexmans Tools and remove the polygons out of the Scope.
