Hello guys!

I created a new scope sight for the m24. Could anyone tell me, step by step, how to add the new sight to the m24?

thanks in advance

a new scope sight like corsshairs? if thats the case the corsshairs are most likely in a DDS format or something like that so just look in textures to find which one is the correct sight for that weapon make a patch to override it also make sure the crosshairs have a alpha layer that way they are transparent

Thank you, but i have already found the m24 scope texture (its a DDS file). And it seems to me that this file determinates the black circle around the crosshair, because i created a new one (saved with transparency in DXT5 as DDS). But when i replaced it, only the black circle changed to a crazy mixture of black and white stripes.

i would be glad for help :)

I saved it as a DDS file (DXT 5), 256*256

So i think its the wrong file/place. But just take a look!

okay well so you are actually making this to replace the crosshairs right?? it looks like you got the texture for the inside of the scope and it also looks like you didn't make a alpha layer

I made an alpha layer and and i saved it as a DDS file (with DXT5 like other BF2 textures)
I just want to know, where i have to place my new m24 scope-crosshair-texture, how to disable the current m24 crosshair AND how to add MY new m24 crosshair.

These are the only textures of the m24 i found:

Objects_client\Weapons\Handheld\usrif_m24\textures\usrif_m24_b.dds
Objects_client\Weapons\Handheld\usrif_m24\textures\usrif_m24_c.dds
Objects_client\Weapons\Handheld\usrif_m24\textures\usrif_m24_mini.dds
" \Weapons\Handheld\usrif_m24\texture\usrif_m24_scopetexture_c.dds

And the file seems to determine the "inner part" of the scope, but not the crosshair!
So please help me :)
