ok now that i read the title i see its bf2 and i know squat about that so nevermind me

Most BF2 maps have a section toward the bottom that looks something like this:

That defines the combat area. To make differnt chapes, just add more points. As for the image, the minimap itself is not changable server side, however I cannot remember if the combat lines are a part of the map or if they are automatically overlayed at run time. If the lines are draw at run time, they might be updated when the combat area is changed. I wouldn't expet it though, as a general rules, graphics cannot be changed server side.
