I just renamed the "Movies" folder to "Movie" folder....(deleted the "S")

Everything works fine here.

Yeah but if you delete them all, does the main menu not get a little corrupted (well the movies disappear i think)
Ive just throw away the non menu_xxx.bik files

Time to use the

I removed all the movie files in 'Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies' and I didn't have any problems.

However, if you want the background movies in the main menu to show up, only delete the following files:

Dice.bik
EA.bik
Intro.bik
Legal.bik
welcome.bik (optional, it's the "Welcome to duty" thing)

This is what I did and everything works fine

Goto:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies

You will see these files:

Dice.bik
EA.bik
Intro.bik
Legal.bik
menu.bik
menu_loggedin.bik
welcome.bik

I changed them to this:

Dice.bak
EA.bak
Intro.bak
Legal.bak
menu.bik
menu_loggedin.bik
welcome.bak

When you click the BF2 Icon you see some flashing blank screens the then straight to the login menu.

If you change the menu.bik and the menu_loggedin.bik the login screen and the server list will not have the cool backgrounds.

if you remove the movies, you're supposed to run bf2 faster, but I don't know. I'm not removin movies yet till I get bored of seein them
