Uhm, holdobject is useless. AA guns are static objects, and as they don't have mobile physics there's no need to "hold" them. They spawn exactly where you tell them to, so editing the coordinates simply must work. The error must be elsewhere.

ED42 rocks texture&material editing, BC42 is a tad better in object placements. But actually both have their advances, Ed42 is especially VERY useful when you edit a mod or use modded objects or any of that stuff. And even more if the mod is WIP and you make many changes during time. And countin...

Uh, there are people that only use editors for making maps? I mainly use editors for all the basic stuff like texturing, object placements, terrain and material map editing. Then I'll go over the generated .cons as there usually is MUCH crap stored there from the editors no one nees or thing...

Personal preference and simply the depth you dive into all this. If you are modding and mapping simultaneously for whatever reasons, Ed42 is perfect due to its' file management. If I only would map, I'd use both for their advantages, texturing in Ed, then packing it up and doing object placements in...

Do you have Vista or XP? If you have XP, this sometimes happens (dunno on Vista, don't have Vista). To launch the B.exe, PB needs to run a "service". So go to your computers system settings->management->services (dunno how it's called in english, in german it's Systemsteuerung/Verwaltung/D...

Why don't you just use other programs or upgrade your RAM?

E.g. Avira is free, simple, very reliable, has almost daily updates and thus is one of the best AV tools avaible. Additionally, the system load is absolutely minimal.

Or just upgrade your RAM, 2 GB DDR2-Ram are just 20 €...
