Hey there.. Seen some really nice ideas here so thought I'd join up and ask a question..

Im wanting to mod a map so that players are forced to 'walk' around and not run. It's for a novelty map ;) heheh

Has this been done before?

I have made a couple of maps with underground tunnels. A small infantry combat map and a race map with tunnels under a frozen (one way to get round having a tunnel under water heheh) lake. This is a simple fraps flyby clip of the combat map and shows the tunnels. I'll post the race track clip too.. ...

-What does patch terrain mean/do? I always wondered.. Default minimaps are 512x512.. If you mod it in photoshop/3dmax.. you can increase the map size to say 1024x1024 or higher.. then when you 'zoom into the map' ingame it stays crispy and not pixelated.. Also just get creative with the minimap.. fi...

ahh awesome! actually walk is slower than i need but run too fast so this looks like I can control it.

I have never been able to see any of these things work ingame..?

what does waveheight/scale do? I guess it sounds pretty self explanitary but I see no 'waves'

Never noticed clouds.. although I always leave them in skyandsun..

Never seen lens flare/corona etc in game..

Have you..?

Thanks.. I guess it could open up more avenues for tunnels.. It is a pain having to make 'false ground' for tunnels as you loose the dynamic shadow.. and lets face it.. bf42 is pretty limited for the atmospherics anyway.. so its nice to have. anyone worked a way of casting dynamic shadow on objects ...
